What is Divorce Coaching?
Coaching is an effective way to manage change and to guide you toward leading a more balanced life. In the coaching process, coaches are collaborators. Coaching sees the client as creative, resourceful and whole. The divorce coach works to assist clients with goal achievement, decision making, and life transitions. Divorce coaching helps you to cope with the challenges and decisions that divorce presents. You will expand your sense of what is possible and emerge from your divorce to lead a happier, more balanced life.
How Can Divorce Coaching Help You?
Divorce is a life altering event. Learning about what to expect makes it easier to remain calm, patient, and resolute and thus enables you to get what you want out of your divorce and out of your life….By working with a coach you learn about the divorce process and set realistic expectations about the available options. In being clear about your goals and in articulately conveying key facts and asking pertinent questions, you can communicate effectively with your attorney, thus saving money and aggravation on legal bills. The divorce coach helps clients to prioritize the tasks that need to be accomplished during the divorce and to work through each step until completion. By proceeding in manageable steps, the transition can be a journey instead of an ordeal and you can emerge feeling better than you did before your divorce….
Coaching Services
- In person coaching sessions. For local clients, we meet in my San Francisco Bay Area office, which is easily reached by automobile or BART. My office, located in a remodeled, historic Victorian building, offers clients a safe place to face their challenges.
- Telephonic coaching sessions. For clients based outside of the Bay Area, we connect via telephone. These sessions can be equally effective as in person coaching so long as the client meets my commitment of dedicating the time of our appointment solely for our meeting – I don’t undertake multi-tasking during these sessions and I expect the same!
- For both in person and telephonic appointments: Our meetings are generally sixty minutes each, on a weekly, or every other week, basis. Most clients commit to themselves to meet with their coach for at least three months in order to be most effective, though there is no requirement to do so.
